I just purchased the 508d to add to my Avital 4400 alarm. It came with a 4 wire plug that fits the 508 end. After searching around, I guess I can wire it into my shock sensor. Can someone explain in detail how I can wire it so the 508 can be "shut off" when I do not want it active. Also should I try and install as close to bed of my truck as possible because I'm trying to protect the bed of truck and toolboxes in truck. Thanks in advance.

As far as the shut off, I just use a simple 12v toggle switch for exterior.
