I'll start with the vehicle and bypass that we used. 2004 Chevrolet Impala, Scytek 2000RS2W1 2 way remote start unit and a GMDLBP from Trilogix for the bypass. Shortly after installation the customer returned with range problems on the remote and complaints of the airbag light intermittently turning on. I've found the best fix for any range problems is to switch to the FM 2 way transmitters so that took care of that problem, while I had it back in the shop I also double checked all connections. The only connection I didn't make was the parking light connection (felt it wasn't needed with 2way remote). I put it all back together and sent her on her way. 2 weeks go by and she's back with same airbag prob and now the radio is locking up on her. She has taken the vehicle to a GM garage and they are saying the remotes start is causing the issues. They have "cleared the codes" and the problems still came back. She is very upset about the airbag light and worried about having an accident while the light is on and the airbag not working properly. Have any of you had simalar issues? If so any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.
