anyone put a keyless entry / remote start on one yet?directwire says use a 556U for the bypass, but i can't get it to work. they also say to 5-wire the front doors and the back doors are + lock and - unlock but the tailgate does'nt lock or unlock with those wires. i can pop the tailgate if it is unlocked(via) the unlock switch on the door or the factory remote but thats it. i have not found any other way to lock or unlock it yet.PLEASE HELP !!!!!! IT"S GIVING ME A BRAIN TUMOR !!!!!!!!!!

Do you have access to any of the Trilogix, Code, or Audiovox Flashlogic boxes? The doors are still databus to the best I can tell, like the years before.
Look at www.trilogix.com, it will show what you need, hardwiring all that when there is one module to do it all is WAY to much work

I only have directwire as well, Im sure its all still databus but they probly dont have a module for it yet so they just giving genral instaructions that would work on just about antthing , 5 wire the door lock motors and use a factory key in a 556U.wierd its not working though. if the 5 wire is at the motors it should control then as well as the 556U the hoe should think that its being started with that key.. wierd.

yeah it cranks up fine if the key is in the switch. i tried another U box and it did the same thing.i even took the factory ring apart and tried connecting my U to it and still nothing.

got ur U wired up rite??? i have heard of ppl using key sense and it not working right. I only use the loop, red, black and blue.

no. that's all i use too.i ended up taking the thing off. told the customer that there was'nt enough info for the truck yet. they were cool about it. they said to call them when i was ready ' so it kinda turned out OK. thanks for trying

you still lose a key using the xk modules if there is a + on the key. You have to put a key in a box under the dash. 3 modules for autostart on those vehicles.
