here are the directions:
PKU MODULE PROGRAMMING MODE
1- IGN “ON” “OFF”
2- IGN “ON”
3-
4-
“ON”
You will need 2 valid keys. Proceed as follows:
Insert first key and turn to the position: “THEFT” light will turn ON, then go .
Remove the first key.
Within 5 seconds, insert second key: turn and hold in position. After approx.
10 seconds, the door chime will sound** to indicate vehicle is in programming mode.
For the next 2 steps position & hold the PKU module (screw side) towards the front
of the ignition barrel (key cylinder).
Using a jumper wire, , without starting vehicle, for approx. 10 secs.
until the “THEFT” light comes solid. “THEFT” light will then flash and return back to
solid to indicate the PKU module is now programmed successfully.
once
YOU NOW HAVE 60 SECONDS TO PROCEED WITH THE NEXT STEP.
(Coil Loop is during PK programming) NOT USED
power up vehicle ignition
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Once the PK (Transponder Bypass) portion has been programmed to a vehicle, it cannot be used on
any other Chrysler vehicle. (This a Chrysler Sentry Key feature from factory.)
**As a reference: door should be left open during programming.
TECH NOTE:
- No wiring harnesses should be connected while programming Transponder Bypass.

1. can I just jump 12volts to a ign wire, its not like programming a ford key, they say WITHOUT starting the vehicle. usually i just cycle the ford keys and hit start to porgram the bypass or 3rd key

2. also is it correct that I dont need any harness or any wiring connected to the bypass for programming???

Dave; i make a easy tool for this a 10g wired fuse holder put a 30 amp fuse in it and solder a alagator clip on one end. the other end tin the wire. all u have to do is put the clip on 12v and touch the other end to the ignition. this way if u happen to slip ur power wire is protected...

If your programming it to a newer chyrsler car the ones with the factory keyless in the key them just take the back off of one of the keys then put the first key in then turn it on till the theft lite goes out then put the second key and while your waiting on that take the first key apart and take out the transponder then after the theft lite goes out on the second key put the naked key in while holding the bypass as close to the key cylinder as possible turn he key on so it will turn all of the ign acc and any thing else ive done this quite a few times and had great sucess

why didnt you just call me.
turn on till light goes out, second key in and keep on till you hear chimes. then put up to cylinder and take a jumper to ign and 12v. I just use a jumper at the module. put the wire into the ign and when ready touch the 12v. keep it untill it lights solid and usually you hear chimes.
