12v's For high current 12V, use red/black (60A) and red/black (60A) at the fuse box, black 40 pin plug, pins F1 and E3, or go to the battery.
Starter Starter is positive trigger thru a 1300 ohm resistor.
The BCM (Body Control Module) is to the left of the steering column.
See DirectFax document 1605 for remote start interface information.
For starter kill, use yellow/black (+) at the ECM, black 73 pin plug, pin 52. The ECM (Engine Control Module) is on the driver side fender, behind the headlight.
Locks To lock/unlock the driver door go to the driver door module or motor in the door and 5wi the tan (lock) and purple (unlock) motor wires.
To lock/unlock the passenger door go to the passenger door module or motor in the door and 5wi the tan (lock) and gray/black (unlock) motor wires.
To lock/unlock the rear doors use lt. blue (+) and white (-) at the BCM, gray plug, pins 7 and 9.
The BCM (Body Control Module) is to the left of the steering column.
I am starting to hate new vehicles. They are making them more complicated for us

I just installed a remote starter in my girlfriends 2000 Grand Am. Then I sold my Thunderbird which had one installed in it. Now I am installing one in my Ranger.

We will have to do like everyone else and raise our labor rates!

its kind of split down the middle. half are super easy now with combo bypasses, and some are complete resistor / transponder / doorlock / disarm nightmares... ugh
rates are going up soon.....

almost all of the common vehicles have bypasses that make life extremely easy.
I've been doing all of the 07's that have been coming into the shop. Directechs and Wiremagic usually have no info so I kinda have to just wing it and search for everything. Its a pain but cars haven't changed that much.
Hardest one yet, 07 Lincoln MKZ... somehow I set a check engine even though the car was working just fine when I was finished. Still don't know how it happened. At least the customer was cool and said they'd run it by the dealer to get fixed.. car was only 5 days old.
New 07 yukons, denali's, tahoes, escalades.. they are not that hard if you use bypasskit.com bypasses. The vehicle requires 2-3 seperate modules depending on the key. Any new GM with a + on the key requires a key in the box.
New chryslers, jeep, dodges, are all easy, take about 1.5 hours to install. No t-taps though, solder only.
OH, and you thought the old escapes were bad, wait till you get an 07 in there. Keys are worse than ever.

more like wires too thin. plus they have the can wires in those vehicles. Don't want a loose connection on one of those.
