I once thought I hated Malibu's (04-up) Now I love them thanks to Audiovox's new flash logic interfaces Remote start with keyless in 30 min No wiring any of the remote start just wire up the bypass and it does the whole start sequence via data. How I love this interface Not marketing for audiovox just soo damn happy I decided to try the flash logic system today

hummm... New vw's suck. well they always did! 07 chrysler is worse then 06.. we had a couple come in already. 07 wrangler is now a full blown chysler resistor nightmare. 07 ram 3500 also now is using the 2 amp igntion heres a tip on that ignition is pink/white accessory is pink/purple (negitive I believe it was through 800 ohms) starter is pink/purple (same as assessory but negitive through 185 ohm) DONT POWER THE ACCESSORY WITH REMOTE START. everything blower ect... worked fine with just ignition hooked up. If you power the accesory when you put the key in and turn it on the starter starts grinding. I tried changing resistors ect.. but nothing would stop it from doing this intill i disconnected the accesory wire. I hate doing all these vehicles but for some reason we seem to atract all the chyrslers, dodge, and bmw owners. I think the one car I hate the most is the mazda melleniums. I only had to do maybe 4 or 5 of them but hate doing them! if a concord bothers you that much, I Dont think you had much play time with newer chryslers. there getting worse and worse

ah I see... The worse ford to me use to be the escape they never like to work when there cold because there chips freeze if there mounted in the car. now I think the worse ford is the new mustangs sence most of the wires have to be found in the passenger kick panel, But still there not as bad as some other cars.

the explorer, escape and a few other 06+ with the 18g power, ign, acc, starter. i just did a starter in 06 mountineer and was told the small power would be fine because that is what turns everything on anyway. nope i had to call a bud a few states over about it and it wont power the blower fan to it's full even with using a - parking light to draw less current. if the deitech sheet says power under 40amp it is a must to go to the battery...

I dont think the cars are hard. but you have to watch with what bypass you use. the chips in the keys freeze and then dont work. if you put your key in a freezer for a hour or two then try to start it with the key it wont work... I had this issue with dei's 555u 556u 555s and 556s every year when it gets really cold I have atleast 3 escapes come in with "my remote start doesnt work" just to find out it works fine now (sence the chip is now warm again) they reccomend freezing the bypass before programing it. well now they have the new ford bypass 1100f I havent used on of these on a escape yet but i think this might solve that issue. I never had a issue using the power wire on the escapes. the only time i run a new power is if its under 10amps. If you think the remote start will pull more then throw smaller fuses in it so they will blow instead of the car fuse blowing making the car break down. I do this with our remote starts I ran a remote start on a escape with a 5 amp fuse just to prove to someone it wasnt using a lot of amprage. that was probrolly 3 years ago and as far as i know its still running with the 5 amp fuse.

depends if the ford has digital climate control too to weather ya need to run a wire. i was told there can be problems in other fords if you dont run the power wire. i live in NY and i have never had a single problem with a ford transponder. i have used ultra, omega, and dei boxes and no problem with any and i have been installing starters for 5 seasons now.

Fords and code U's did -not- get along very well in '04... other than that they were cake... And I once spent 6 hours trying to troubleshoot a code bypass on an '04 malibu. It would work fine until I pulled it out, then I'd go try and start it 20 mins later and it seemed to have lost it's programming. I'm glad I'm out of the game now.

Worse car for me is the older intrepid. I have to lay upside down to get to the ign. wires since the bottom panel doesn't come off. And yes newer dodge/chry. suck as well.

LOL...actually it does (or rather the WHOLE lower dash assembly ). A few 10mm (?) nuts,a few connectors and of it comes. Makes the job so much easier. Plus its fun to prank those annoying customers who think remote starts are a 30-40 min max job by detorqing the makita a few notches (brrruuuup)
