ok did some searching and didn't come up with much other then the range will suck when adding R/S to a factory key fob. the only item i found that can do this is a 551T but is that a remote start or a module to make a viper 160 work off the door unlock pulsing?

and can't i just use the activation input on a viper 160 from the door unlocks to R/S the car?

not to be a pain, but is it that big of a deal to you or your customer to use the factory remote to RS the vehicle??

just me wanting to know how to do it. i have a 791 on my truck. and if a customer ever wanted to do this for some reason i just want to be able to offer that option.

does the activation input on say a viper 160 have to be pulsed to ground or does it have to stay constant ground to be activated? and is that how you do it or?

The 551, 160 and 791 all have a white/blue activation wire. It's negative and can be programed for 1 to 5 presses to activate.

Correct-just make sure the customer is aware that range of the oem keyless is about 20-30' on avg
