yea. I love the omegas. I can get ultra and autopage but I started out installing the omegas. I wish I could get 160 for a starter. i get 150 for a starter w bypass. I dont have any overhead and I am a residential shop so I gotta be competitive somehow right?

i just did a starter and bypass with no door locks for $220. i ordered a ultra 640 alarm today for a car for $175 installed plus $15 for trunk pop and $25 for a omega phyco siren (2nd siren). the guy is comming back after xmas for me to put in door lock $75 per door. like i said i work out of a garage in the rear of my house. i dont give breaks for starters or alarms nor do i advertise my work speaks for itself. people come to me and some i turn down if i am busy with audio...

I cant believe how much some people get for remote starts. Around here the highest they go for is $150 installed, and that includes anything that you have as an option (horn honk, trunk pop, door locks). It is sickening to hear about people charging an extra 50 bucks to hook up the keyless on a car when it is 2 wires that take 30 seconds. And people wonder why everyone is going to the internet...

programming is really, really easy after you get use to it. ultra offers so many different features threw the programming.

around here the cheapest they advertise for is $139.95 on sale and that dosent include anything.

i dont charge much at all figuring i am the only one anywhere around that solders all connects on the starters. i dont use cheap add on starters. i install the ultra 1270 which is loaded with features. my normal shop rate is $45hr so if ya figure 2-2.5hr labor for a starter it works out right. door locks are not always just 2 wires sometimes ya have to use resistors.

ya get what ya pay, for most shops around here use t taps or just wrap the wire and tape. if ya take the lower pannel down it looks like a rats nest. opening the hood they dont loom the tach wire or use silicone around the hole they drilled to snake the wire threw...

We use DEI remote starts
249.00 basic remote start w/ 1 transmitor, or no transmitor added to lock.
299.00 remote start w/ 2 transmitors, keyless entry
449.00 if you want alarm/remote start w/ keyless
other options...
+50 for immobolizer bypass
+25 for any extra features (horn, trunk release, ect...)
We are a 9 bay shop been in business for over 10 years have a great rep, cover everything lifetime warrenty.
remote start season we book approx 10-15 a day (depending on types of vehicles) and still have a 2-3 week waiting list (depending on part of season)
I get into the shop about 5-6am depending on how many dropped off the night before and dont leave intill around 8pm do this 6 days a week!
I always look forward to it and then about a month into it i cant wait intill its over..lol
