Boy, I could really use some help here. Luckily I was working on my own van, not a customer's, but anyway I had been using a + domelight wire and switched to a - without realizing the polarity change, and when I triggered the domelight supervision I sent +12v into a domelight wire expecting ground. I smelled something electronic burn :-( Now I've got no headlights, windshield wipers, or parking lights on my 97 Dodge Caravan. Anyone got a schematic?

Hey Murph, do I buy the tech sheet there? And what does it tell me? I've already got Directechs and metra's service, but they only tell me wire colors.

check all fuses first. BCM controls alot of functions on those vans. You may need a wiring sheet from an actual repair manual to trace the domelight wire to where it starts. I could print one but by the time it is faxed you will not be able to see it. You have to et the wiring info from alldata or mitchel repair.

i think what murph is trying to say is always fuse your wires. like the wire coming from the brain that goes to the parking lights. if it was fused i would say you wouldn't have toasted your stuff.
