In the installation instructions, it says that a relay(611t Latching relay) should only be needed if there is not ground when armed output. But if the security system has one, to jsut connect the black wire to the ground when armed output. By the way, the prox sensor is a 508D Double guard Field disturbance sensor. DEI's web site doesn't even have it on there, so there is not way to tell if it pulls more than 500 ma..Thanks again for any help you can give me!

A latching relay, is definately not needed. Although you may still need a standard Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) relay. You probably will not need one at all. You might just shoot an e-mail off to DEI. Ask them if you can connect the ground off the sensor directly to the brain without an additional relay.
