I was just wondering what brand and model transponder bypass modules everyone else uses when doing remote starts on vehicles equipped with transponders? I put a remote start in a friends 02 Grand Cherokee today and was using a design tech bypass module #20402 but I couldnt get it to work no matter how I positioned the key in the module, or the wire around the switch. Anyone?

Bulldog lol my local distributor has a bulldog module that does passkey/passlock 1&2/transponder all out of one box, cost on its only like $11 thing actually works great.

Does this module work on Fords as well?

you want them for a ford?? depends for the fords, they have 3 different ones IBF1, IBF2, IBF3
about 90% of the time these modules work. some of them i still have to go get a key made.
if you need anything pm, or email me scott. steveo_mick@hotmail.com

hey did you get the module to program??? sometimes as a trick, i take the module apart and you can see the chip that you hold up to the key hole. you can get it closer if you take it apart. im not sure on your module though, i use omega

Hi Steve,
I was looking for more info on the IB-F3 wiring and came across you here.
Can you explain me where the wires are to be connected. The sheet supplied is very unclear as to where what has to go.
Any help would be highly appreciated. Am using a Crimestopper 850i5 security system.

fortin and idatalink make awesome bypasses...and they cover almost any car. Of course early 2000 nissans, and most mitsubishi's still need a key in the box. they always do.
