Hi, I saw this alarm on ebay for $30. It is a K9-5 Classic brand new, is it good or just junk. I don't want anything fancy, I just need something to keep my H.U, changer, amp and 4 speakers protected. Thanks for the feedback

I was considering one of these a while back. They are manufactured by Omega. That is the same company that makes Excalibur. I really like the excalibur stuff and K9 is pretty much the same...just a step down. That is a decent deal. Also if you just email the guy his direct price is $50 shipped anywhere. I think his email is ILOVESPAM3@AOL.COM This is as good as you are gonna get for cheap, basic, and reliable security.

The alarm is ok, it's the INSTALLATION that will determine how well it works.

Can I add some more features in the future to the alarm or is it a basic model?

I am an Omega Research Dealer. I can tell you thats a good (Lifetime Warranty) alarm. The K-9 is not really a step down,as much as, it just doesn't come packaged with as many extras as the Excalibur units. For example the Excalibur units will come with the start disable relay, the K-9's, you have to purchase the relay seperatly. As for the answer to your question, the alarm is good. Many options are available. For more information you can check out Omega products at http://www.caralarm.com
Dealer cost on this unit usually $50.00 and up. Plese remember, auto alarms are only as good as the install.
