Several things come to mind. Was it a shop that put it in? You did not say who this "Someone" was.
As for your problem, how can you tell that the problem started at the alarm? You say the alarm melted the relays to the starter kill. A starter kill output on a alarm consists of "1" ground wire. I find it hard to beleive that a wire that has a ground output would melt a relay. Actually you state "relays". A starter disable only uses 1 relay. Your post seems strange. Not trying to put you down or nothing.
If you indeed did have the problem you describe, it could be related to any number of things. If it was related to the alarm, most likely it was installation related. If it was a shop that did the install, they should have insurance. My shop carries $1,000,000.00 worth.
If it was just a buddy that did it, he ripped you off, and you probably are on your own. Let it be a lesson.

P.S. If you do have all of the damage you describe, you will need to have the entire wire harness replaced. It most likely has damaged one or more computer also.

We still don't know if it was a buddy. I do not make customers sign a waiver. I stand behind my work. Thats why a business should have insurance. The dude may have been making the story up. I sounds a little suspicious. I may be wrong, and if I am I apologize now. I still say the story sounds weird though.
