I was wondering if anyone knows of a piezo that pulses (similar to a telephone chirp) but not exceptionally loud. I would like to use this for the exterior prox sensor simply to get people 'away' from the vehicle. I think I will connect the red strobe in the grille to this also. I smell more relays.

Andrew.

Seems like I remember seeing one of these. I will check my resources. You may be able to build your own.

I guess you are you are right LOUD. What about having a timer trigger when someone violates the field??? This way if someone were to 'hang' around for a bit, the piezo would warn them to leave...

thoughts??? I had someone put their hands on the glass today and look in... I'd like to limit that kind of behaviour. Granted -- there's nothing to see -- or is there?? heh...

well a small beeping thing isnt gonna scare them.. i have a higher profile looking car and get looks all over.. your best bet is get the windows tinted or something.. i have no tint so i see any smudge there is. but most everything is stealth and you just got to take your face off etc and bolt stuff down.. theft these days sucks. its sad people have to steal but its part of life.. id just get a REAL annoying alarm..

3 sirens and interior piezos make it fairly annoying...

I am putting one of those REALLY LOUD Alpine sirens up under the dash by the HU also.

the more annoying the better so long as you don't 'cry wolf'.

btw I disagree with tint. I believe that a stealth appearance is far better. I have low-level OEM tint but it is virtually noon-existent -- it will STAY that way.

I am NOT yelling. sorry.
