I was wondering if it was possible to get a remote start for a manual transmission. It seems kind of impossible since you have to have the clutch down to start the car or at least your supposed to but I can start my car without putting the clutch down. Does this mean the remote start would be able to work on my car. I haven't put one of these remote starts in before if you couldn't already tell...

There is a way to do it on a manual. But audio shops will not install one in a manual for legal reasons. If you don't leave it in neutrual the car would lurch either forward or backward depending on what gear you have it in....Some guy around here got that done to his car and his girlfriend was drving it...left it in first...remote started right into a store lol

Check out a Compustar dealer in your area. They have quite a "new" twist on installing a remote start in a manual trans vehicle. We brought in a few so far so good.

You can use a relay as a clutch bypass.. Wiring will depend on the actual vehicle but under normal circumstances all you need to do is connect to wires to do a clutch bypass.

all Clifford Intelli start systems, Solaris, Avantgaurd and concept with clifford intelli have automatic and manual transmission modes.
The Manual transmission mode allows the car to be remotely started. You have to leave the using a sequence of buttons on the fob, take the keys out, the engine will continue to run, get out, close the door and press the alarm button. This will shut down the engine and as long as the doors are not opened again and the alarm isn't set off the engine will remotely start.
i think in USA some states do not allow remote start on manual transmissions.
