I need some information about this car. I have put several alarms in but never one in a newer car with factory keyless entry. Is there anything special that I need to do? Do I need to disconect the keyless entry? All information would be considered very useful Thanks for the help.

this vehical is VERY likely to have a transponder chip in the key....without this chip the vehical will not stay running.....DEI makes a kickass bypass for this type of transponder.....But any good installer can bypass it without added parts...the only downfall to this is you are disableing the $1000.00 factory system...it is Highly recommended to intergrate the factory with your aftermarket......as far as the factory keyless....As long as its just keyless you can leave it connected and just put the remotes away untill you decide to get rid of the vehical....

By the way the DEI part is a 555F

99 stangs are pretty basic, I'm working on a way to email tech schematics from my WireMagic program but in the meantime if you need any specific info, give me a holler

Did he ask about a starter??

Actually, the factory keyless entry is usually helpful in Fords and GMs since it makes the doorlocks singlewire affairs.

Thanks for the help. I already have the wiring info that I got off the DEI disk. So I guess it should all be pretty simple since I am not doing remote start.
