I just won a regualar Invisibeam (rap version) off Ebay for 25 bucks and have no clue how to wire it up to my existing alarm (Ungo 1001). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

DOH!!!!!!

Make sure it works. The transistor they use for the voice has a nasty habit of failing. Also, does it come with the correct 'siren'. It is really a P.A. speaker, not a standard siren.

Ok, I got it in today and it works..just how in the heck do I wire it up? It's a Invisibeam Plus with 4 plugs. 3 are at the bottom and one at the side. Going from left to right: P1 on the bottom has a black, red, light brown, and dark brown wire. P2 has two pink wires. P3 has a white wire, a blue wire, a white with blue stripe wire, a green wire, a purple wire, and a white with a orange strip wire. For the plug on the side going from the top: yellow wire with black stripe, yellow wire with orange stripe, yellow wire with silver stripe, yellow wire with blue stripe, yellow wire with white stripe, yellow wire with dark brown stripe, yellow wire with purple stripe, and yellow wire with a green stripe. Also above these wires is a set of 8 dip switches that slide up and down for on/off. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out. None of the car audio shops in my town has any clue whatsoever. I can take pictures if needed. Thank You!!!!

Unfortunately, I have never wired one of these. If it is new, it should have come with some instructions though? If you tell me what each connection is for I can tell you how to wire it up. I have wiring diagrams for all vehicles. Of course someone here can probably tell you.
Seein' how I am regulator..err..I mean moderator of this here forum...I am just tryin to help...

It's not new unfortanately. DEI stoppped making them a long time ago and I can't find someone that has the instructions or knows how to wire it up anywhere.

Ummm... I dont believe DEI ever made the invisibeam... It was a standalone company. If you need wiring colors, I will get hold of my buddy Greg and get them for you. Please give me the exact model number, as they made a couple of different ones.

We didn't make the Invisibeam. We did however buy the assets of the makers (ESP) several years ago. You may be able to get some installation support from our tech support department at DEI. Having installed and serviced undreds of those things myself while I was still working retail, I can tell you what Dukk said is pretty much true - you also should hope that the processor or voice chips aren't scrambled, besides the TDA2005 output IC which as he pointed out is vulnerable to damage ... the system should be used with an 8 ohm PA speaker or the chip can cook ...

Here's some basics from memory:
Red 12V+
Black ground
Browns speaker outputs
I think the pinks went to a momentary contact switch that made the unit switch modes, from English to whatever second language (rap, Spanish, etc.) was programmed in by the factory
P3 sounds like the input plug, which would have had +/- siren wires, and +/- armed input among other things. If you connect the red and black, and the brown speaker wires, you can try grounding each of these wires one at a time - if you find the armed negative input, the system will activate ("system armed" or "it's on" or something in Spanish are the activated messages depending on which language you have) ... grounding the negative siren input will make the unit go into it's "violated" mode ... don't experiment with applying +12V to any of these wires, you'll just make it mad ...
The colors and the presence of the other plug sounds to me like the last ESP version made, which had some zone reporting and other stuff built in. I haven't ever installed that version myself, but the manuals should be on file at DEI in tech support, which will also cover the programming. Good luck with it, it's quite a project. By the way, did you get the sensor module with it as well? It's the box with the pointed end and a thin cable with phone jack on the end ... have to have that for any of the proximity functions to work ...
