Have you guys seen this yet. It is a battery that can stop the output from the post so that the vehicle has no power. All from a remote, like the one for your alarm. What do you guys think?

have already heard HORRER stories about this battery......such as GM THEFTLOC radios locking up......older GM cars losing the idle memory stored in the computer so the car runs like hell for a few days ....also if the voltage is switched off from the positive side instead of the negitive side...there are grounds for airbag deployment........the list goes on and on.....it would have been a cool thing for the 70's and 80's but not for a newer vehical

I saw the ad on TV, and right after that wondered what it would do to on-board computers on new cars. I still think it's a great idea, what took them so long? Now, how can we integrate these security batteries with our security and audio systems.

How about having a regular battery for accessories, and an isolator for the security battery an a couple of relays and modifications, an you could make it so that the security battery is the only battery that can start the car. Just throwin ideas round.

A second battery would work but might not be feasible because of custom wiring required for each car. How about a current limiting feature inside the battery to limit the amount of current drawn when the system is armed. That would not be too hard for Die-Hard to incorporate. Would probably solve most problems.

The way it works now, is that if the battery senses a current draw with the car off for a period of time it will turn off the output. But who would leave their car off and unattended for a period of time without "arming" it?
I think they should do away with that Idea and use your idea.
