Well I need some suggestions and feedback. I am doing a SQ system and I know brand wise and equipment wise for the system that I am going to get but I am still undecided on what brand alarm to get. I have looked at Ungo seems good and those I have asked said a it is a good alarm. I used to have an Alpine on my old car (the one that got broke into and stuff stolen). I didnt have good luck with that one. It could have been the install but I dont know.

This is what I need and want on the alarm. Everything. I want inside and outside radar protection. I want shock protection. I want glass breakage. Lock and UnLock and also I have a sun roof. So I would not mind a open sunroof from the remote and or close it automatically when the alarm is armed.

I dont have power windows...yet but do have power door locks also dont have power trunk unlock..yet. It is an manuel so I dont need the car start.

I basically want everything protected. I know with the radar sensors the glass breakage might be over kill but O well I rather have more then not enough. I also would like the feature where the alarm is smart emough with the radar that if it senses something in the radar range it will adjust that so it dont false. Ungo I know has the feature. Also I would not mind to beable to adjust or just turn off the radar protecton also.

I hope what I said here isnt to jumbled. Thanks for any help you can give:-)

My first choice would be an intelligard 9000 by Clifford, it has tons of features as well as glass and impact. You can add a dual zone prox sensor very easily.
Features and specs can be found at the Clifford website Http://www.clifford.com

The Ungo MS-8300 would fit that bill perfectly. Plenty of room for expansion also (trunk, door pops, windows, etc.) It does not include a glass break, so I would recommend the 506t from DEI, not the ungo glass break sensor. That units rocks!

oh...and have it installed by someone who has installed at least a few of them before.

AMEN SSA.

That baby's got more wires than anything I've ever seen (even my Alp 8080)!

The Ungo is mega sweet - and it even has a real motion sensor. The auto re-arm when door is open is neato too - after you get used to it (2:30 am + 4 sirens + re-arm while doing testing = pissed off wife!)

Well keep the advice comming. The UNGO I was looking at was the one mentioned. Hmm..I might have to look at that more. But you are saying get the glass break sensor from DEI insted of the ungo one?

Thanks!

well, I sell both the Ungo and the clifford, my feelings is that the clifford is still a better alarm, but if you can find one, the ungo MS9000 was insane for the # of outputs it had, although the 8300 does even have a high current channel 2 out (perfect for trunk release, even has swtichable polarity) plus they come with the install manuals. Easy alarm to install for a DIY'er. I would never recomenned anyone installing a Clifford without being a pro installer, they can get nasty. Also if you want remote start for your 5 speed car try and find a PolarStart PS2760, it will work with the Ungo alarm (due to the very convenient remote start input on the alarm to bypass ign and sensors, and the starters external trigger input) this starter is standard trans ONLY. Been a very popular piece this year with 0 problems (we still make the customer sign a waiver though).
Hope you find a deal on whatever you get.

Yes, get the 506t sensor for DEI (any Hornet, Viper, Python, etc dealer can get it (or should have it in stock already)). They are easier to set and react quicker. The ungo unit needs too long of a input to react. The 506t is a ugly unit, but mounting the mic into a plastic snap grommet takes care of that. The ungo unit has nice mounting options included.

I don't know about the clifford.....never used it before.

The ungo also has a liftime on the brain & transmitters which is nice.

If you want real infomation on this unit, go to a shop that sells them, and ask to read through the owners manual, it's the only way to find (most) ALL the information.

Although I think highly of the brands mentioned so far, for my two cents, I really like the Alpine sensors, I don't much care for the radar bit, because it needs adjusting according to weather. In what ever the case, attention to detail is crucial in a proper alarm installation. As far as theft is concerned, remember an alarm/security system is a DETERRANT, not a cure all, like a radar detector, when it goes off, it lets you know something's up, ONLY.
