I just built my first ever box and I'm not great at cutting wood. everything is already screwed in and has lots of rubber nails around it(so no moving it now)...I made a wedge shaped box to fit in my f150 regcab and I made a wedge in the middle to make 2 chambers...

the chambers are alittle different in size cause i didnt put the middle in the exact middle...so I'm guessing one of the chambers is like .1cuft bigger then the other....is this going to cause one sub to sound any different then the other sub or screw anything up..

Also I think the chambers are too big for most subs out there...1.7cuft per chamber I think..is there anyway that I can make the space smaller?also when the company says how much space is needed is that after the sub is in or do you take away what the sub takes up and then come out with that number?

thanks a ton...

.1 isn't a real big deal, you can cut a piece of mdf just that size and stick it in the one that's too big.......in a sealed enclosure, you won't likely hear a difference. Calculate the total volume then subtract the volume of the sub. To take up the x-tra space, just add braces, but calculate their size and subtract that from your total so you know exactly how much volume you have left. The other thing you could do is just eliminate the divider, it's not really necessary but it does make for good bracing.
You didn't mention what the subs were, model or size, this should also be taken into consideration. With that much volume and 10s for example, you could go ported easily and squeeze some x-tra performance out of them.
Let me know what you've got........good luck, and congrats on your first box! [Cool]
