i have a 93 ranger and it just takes up too much space behind the seats to fit my L5 10 in. and i want to do a center console. ihave my 600.1 sitting where my console was but i want to keep it there. should i just build it out of mdf then wrap it in vinyl or sand it and use a sealer paint then chameleon paint it??? i have never worked with f/g and kinda need to see how its done, not be told.

my main goal is to use the basic console from this ranger http://www.sounddomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=182096&page=2 except for the L5 rather than the 8's i want to get it smooth as all get out then paint it rather than the typical carpet or vinyl. ne help would be great.

use a mdf to make your support ribs and any flat surfaces. then wrap with fleece and glass it. that way you can get some nice contours as wellas form to the floor. just be ready for a lot of sanding, and bondo work to get it to the paint stage.

good luck, hope it turns out for you.
