i was looking at getting one for 2650 (maybe less) and i was wondering how good are these cars for an install. They look like they'd be a good car to install a nice system in. Plus anyone have any just general comments about them?

I think they are pretty easy. I know the radio is and I dont think there is much to the speakers either.. If there is still a factory amp in the car you will want to bypass it because it is probably near the end of its line..

Two comments, #1) The radio is easy to remove, but putting a new unit in without using an aftermarket kit that SCREWS into the front of the dash and if removed leaves nice little holes in the dash is a little difficult. If you're going to compete in the street class with it, there is very little room under the window line in height. Other than that they are nice to do an install in, and my g/fs car does low 140s with a single 12 and 500 watts of power. If you do a component set up front, the woofers in the doors and the tweeters in the dash actually makes a pretty good soundstage.

i will not be competing just looking for a nice sq set up with a fairly nice ride. I don't have much to spend on a car so i was looking at something a bit older. Thx for the tips. What about an 88 Dodge Daytona anyone know anythinga bout them?
