I was wondering anyone that installs in shops prof. have a problem with bad cd players right out of the box? Ex. My friend's JVC KD-1 had bad pixels so after he found the reciept took it back. Picked up new JVC-KD10 and the face was real lose and didnt pick up radio stations. I was wondering if anyone has had probs. like this before with any type of cd player? THe sales guy at bestbuy looked at us funny when we came back into the store to get a second cd player but he acted like it had never happened before.

It happens with all brands and all different products. It just doesn't happen very often...

Stuff defective right out of the box?? I don't know what brands YOU are familiar with but if it occurred more than 1/2 a percent of the time with anything I sold, it would be out the door!!

This topic kind of flows along with "you get what you pay for".

With better brands, this is very rare, but with the garbage brands, I've heard & seen some terrible numbers.

Worst I saw was at BB, a craig cd, this was about 7 or 8 years ago, and the unit was selling for like 119 then... only had ONE make it off the parking lot before it quit!!! We would always step them up to a sony for about 20 bucks more...

If you think car audio is bad, try working in the computer field. Expect half of your products to be bad out of the box. It all comes in spurts. One week it'll be great, everything works, next week, nothing works. Just have to send it back right away, don't procrastinate ONE BIT. Thats my two cents. Electronics aren't exactly built like tanks.

You for sure get what you pay for in elecctronics. Me and one of my friends went to wal-mart and he saw the hack! hack! road gear cd players for like 70 bucks. For some reason it was on sale(peice of crap) and it worked for two weeks and then one day his dash caught on fire. Somehow the ground hit the positive wire in the cd player hmmn..makey you wonder who put's those together.

I don't completely agree with the phrase "you get what you pay for". Unfortunately I wasted my time and money on a JVC home DVD player. It was top of the line when I got it, and cost around $650. about 10 months later after experiencing problems (did not read any disc) I took it back to Ultimate Electronics and got another one. The replacement had a display problem. So back I go to get yet another replacement. Now it's out of warranty and it's been acting up again. I wrote a nasty-gram to JVC about what I thought of their so called quality control and never got a response. Don't ask me what I think of JVC (THEY SUCK!!!). I will never again knowingly waste my money on that company's products or any other companies which may be related.

My 2 cents worth!

*******DON'T BUY JVC!!!!!************
