im gonna put a second battery in my car for my d2 should i wire in series or parallel would eithe make a differance in power b/c i know it puts more power out at 14.4 volts vs 12

wire the batts in parallel to maintain a 12 volt system. + to + and - to -. If you wire the batts in series ,assuming they are 12volt batts, it would create a 24 volt system.

but since there will be 24 volts then my amp will be able to draw 14.4 right alowing me to get the most out of my amp

you dont want a 24 volt electrical system on your vehicle. Everything electrical in your vehicle will fry.......

don't want to do that so a second battery just gives my more 12 volt power

does this help my alterator any or hurt it
