i have a 97 jeep grand cherokee and i want to run the power wire down the drivers side. the thing is i dont want to drill any holes into the firewall. i read some posts that the jeep has rubber gaskets i can poke a hole into and run my wire through, but im not really sure what they look like or where to look for them. any help would be appreciated. if i need to drill, any recs as to where to drill? thanks

all a gromet is is a round piece of rubber that seals around ure firewall so that water doesnt get in. if you put your head down by the brake pedal and look towanrd the fire wall you should see where the factory wires go throu the firewall. it will be a big group of them and between those and the firewall will be your grommet.

in the forth pic thats a grommet punch a hole and put you wire thru there. make the hole a tad smaller then the wire that way it will seal and not let anything in

why not run it down pass side? that's how i have mine. im not sure on grand cherokee's but im pretty sure the battery is on the passenger side anyway. there should be a gromment that you can use on the pass. side. i would check on that if you havent gotten your wire ran yet.
