Hey I REALLY need help with my system its soooo aggrevating already, anywayz the battery i got doesnt hold a charge for longer then like 5 mins, i have it hooked u to my car battery with 4 awg wire and its fused and the fuses arent blown, ive checked the ground and its fine, BUT i did get in a serious accident and the battery got cracked and it leaks battery acid, i know it sounds dumb but could that be the problem?? If not please help alll suggestions are much appreciated, AND what is a good brand dry cell battery and how big should it be for a 1600 watt amp and a 650 watt amp on it, thank you

Yes the battery being cracked and leaking acid could be a huge problem. Replace it, and if you
are running 2 batteries, preferably get 2 identical batteries at the same time. Car batteries are
wet cell, or some are gel cell, but not dry cell. Interstate and Optimus make good ones for car
stereo purposes, but kinda spendy. I would probably recommend a deep cycle battery. I've had
good luck with the yellow with the black tops from wal-mart for deep cycles.
