Does anyone know of any chemicals that will clean a spray gun right out? what about the canister, just fill it with the strongest cleaning solvent you can find and wipe it down after?

depends mostly what you are spraying , im apaint teck by trade so i cleane with laqure thinner, some times the gun getts really clogged you should be able to purchase paint gun cleaner at your local auto paint supplier for around $50 per gallon . this should last you all year if you painted everyday hopr this helps cartunes
