i just bought 3 dual 4 ohm subs (800 watts each) and i want to know what the best way to wire them to 2 kicker 240zr's is.

amp_______________+_________________amp
I I I I I I I I
I Sub Sub Sub I
I I I I I I I I
-----------------------------------

Is This Safe with the positive from each amp touch the positive on the othe amp ? have both amps go threw and touch all the positives?

I'm pretty sure that you never want the two positives to touch from amp to amp....it's an easy way to get a smoke show...

JEF was right- never connect the + on amps together.

you have a difficult situation here. i am not completly sure as to how this would work because you will have different voltages and all that crap from the different amps, but hook up one set of voice coils to one amp and the others to the other amp. i really think this might be a bad idea because of the diffeences in the amps, no 2 amps are exactly alike. it will take a great amount of tuning to get it to work properly for you. I have seen many time using 2 amps to power 1 sub(13w7's for example) but there is alot to tuning them, because you want to make sure that everything works out to be the same voltages and everything so one vc isn't working harder than the other or pushing more power. but it can be done so i assume it can be done with 3 subs as well.

i would suggest adding another sub to the system and run 2 off of each amp, or add another amp and push one sub at 2 ohms to each amp. i think that would be your best bet.
