I will be running some 0 guage power wire in my 2001 Saturn SC2 in the next week or so, and I am curious the best way to go about this? I'm assuming I will need to drill a new hole in the firewall...and if so, where can I find a new gasket to go over the hole to protect the wire and to seal the hole up around the wire?

Also, I found what seems to be a good deal on Monster Cable 0 guage wire... http://www.meci.com/default.asp?mode=getitems&category=445]
Is this a good deal on some good wire???

Anything else I should know about running this wire?

Thanks for all the help!

yeah you have the right idea, maby if you can, try and find a boot to run the wire through, this would make things easier and better looking.... if your going to drill a hole, just make sure when your pulling the wire through, you dont skin the plastic coating on the 0 gauge wire, this would make a bare spot for the wire to touch metal and then youll have a even bigger problem... but to seal it, you can get by using silcone.....

A couple things;

First, I've found at a local auto parts store 3/4" grommets. About $2 buys 4. Works fine for me.
Second, I've never used Monster Cable power wire, but PG, Stinger, Street Wires, etc that I've used have had a REALLY thick plastic/rubber sheathing
that's pretty much impossible to run down to the
wire just by running it through even on a sharp edge.

I've got Aerpro 0 gauge, and it's hard to enough to bare the wire with a sharp blade,
i don't think a sharp edge in a firwall hole will do more than scratch the sheath

Home Depot, or Lowes will also have a plain jane rubber grommet also. You will find that in the electrical section too. There are many sizes available for those also.....
