i am installing a capacitor in my buddies truck for him tonight on his existing system. i have no problem with the power, but i have a question on the ground. do i need to run a seperate ground from the cap or can i just cut the ground wire going into the amp and hook the cap inline with the existing wiring ? thanks

Mike

I would run another ground from the cap to the car. I would not "cut" into the amp ground wire. Just ground the 2 wires at the same place.

Thanks, I was wondering about this too. I just got one but I have 2 amps so I had to buy a fused distribution block to channel the power.

make sure you charge the cap before you plug it inline between the fuse block and the amp
