Well I finally found what was causing most of the rattling in my `89 Accord. It was the back dash brake light hitting the back windsheild. WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF IT EARLIER!? Anyways, I ripped the F'n thing out, it was pretty scraped up, and so was the back window! I'm gonna try to put some weather stripping around the edges of it or somthing, and try to re-install it. But WOW, what a difference it makes not to have that rattling! Now I'm motivated to seek out the other rattles my car has. Your cars may not have that problem... but my whole rear dash actually moves with the bass. I used to have a neon tube mounted back there, but the bass cracked the plastic. ack.
Just a tip for ya'll to help seek out that mystery rattle... [Wink]

Actually in my car, it just screws into a little bracket that is mounted to the rear dash. I tried just tightning the screws first, no luck there.

hey man I have the same car, just mine is a hatch. Have you found a way to stop the rattling of the pieces on either side of the license plate?? ur's might b different because of the trunk, but if not any ideas?? I'm gunna b stripping my entire rear-end out this weekend( I rattled somethin loose in my trunk area and water is getting in [Mad] ) So If I find anything that looks like it could be a major rattler I'll let u know. But yea I found the light and fixed it as one of the first things I found rattling, now If I could just get my rear-view mirror to stop [Razz]

I have that same problem in my Tracer. Somehow one of the screws that holds the thing cover part together that covers the assembly has worked its way out (gee i seriously can not figure that one out hah!). I need to put a new screw in and weather strip the thing.

yeah, i hate rattleing grilles! put rubber and where metal meets metal.

for flexing panels,it may be kind of an iffy idea, but dynamatting the insides of the panels would help.

as for the trunk, ask someone about extra weather stripping,I know someone here has to have weatherstrip x 2 on there car.

my friends 3rd brake light did that too,he just stuck some foam underneith it and help it in place.

my back window rattles 'cause my 15" solo blew it out [Frown]

My trunk rattled, so I filled the bracing with expanding foam and then adjusted the trunk latch so that when closed, the trunk is pulled down much harder than normal. Now it takes a big slam to get the trunk to catch but its completely silent.
