I have been told that the DVD unit can be installed without a processor? Whats the deal? Anybody done one like that? Ive been told that it is not possible. I have adone these and the 7000CD units before but we ALWAYS use either the 8000R or 9000R processor. The shop down the street is supposedly doing this and it is hurting my sales b/c now they can integrate this into a factory system. They are installing these and using a FM mod for sound and now they have a motorized screen with DVD and CD. I know they have to be some how using one of the din cables to turn it on and get a audio out signal , but how? Anyone?

to get audio out of the 7300dvd, it can be connected to any p-bus pioneer head, or you can use the gexp7000tv tv tuner which comes with an fm-mod so it can be connected to a factory system and you get tv,dvd, and tv all through the unit.

can the unit (9000) be turned on and power up without another source connected via the bus cable? Do you know which wires in the DIN cable are for audio? Im pretty sure they are doing it totally stand alone to stock systems, plus a FM mod too though. Im guessing that they are just using the wiring in the Bus cable to get turn on and audio out.

are you talking about the avmp-9000r or the avxp-7300dvd, i'm assuming you're talkin about the dvd and just got em confused. On the 7300dvd, to get audio you need the pioneer cd-rb10, this changes an 1p-bus out to rca out for audio, the unit comes with it's own remote for turn on, and since it is an all in one, you shoulddn't need a seperate turn on. all the power wires are in the harness.
