I had it in once today but didn't like the way it sat. it didn't fell to secure. I mounted it on a piece of 1/2"mdf that was screwed into the anchor in their. maybe i am parinoid....AM I.

any other ideas?

ps, i just need to hide it not show it off!

no, just trying to keep things simple, plus i don't live in the best of spots.

Well what kind of vehicle? Because to ME "simple" means mounting it in the trunk somewhere where everyone else does...and where no one will see it...

Finished installing my amp in the spare tire well. I also used some CAE Quiet Kote and even though it took forever to dry I will never use sheets again. Just personnel preference.

THAT explains it MUCH better....Jesus I thought you meant the wheel well of the actual spinning wheels...LMAO
Just for future reference...that is usually referred to as the SPARE TIRE WELL....ha ha...
Anyways...you couldn't just mount it to a piece of mdf that's mounted to the floor of it? [Confused]

sorry, "mental note...talk like you've been around a car before"

that is what I did however ther was a about a 1/2" of play in rotation. Verticaly it didn't move! Is it ok will that much rotation? You had add a little force but it did move.

Use a little bit of great stuff(expanding foam) under your 1/2 board to make it stiffer.

Maybe try some minimal compression weatherstripping? Not as messy as expanding foam...
