you can buy a dynamat trunk kit that helps keep the bass in your car and eliminates some vibration and rattling

When the armrest is folded down, is their a blowthrough into the trunk? If not, you can make one by cutting out the ulpholstery and sheet metal behind it... In my car, it made a noticable difference. I can actually tell without looking if my arm rest is up or down by the difference in bass.

if there are any speakers in the rear deck you can just remove them.... that will help or you could cut some holes in the rear deck

Be careful when you get into that though... If you want to compete, that MAY put you in a class you don't want to be in...

Just remove the speakers in the rear deck and then port through the rear deck. You will get a large increase in output this way.

I like to replace the rear speakers with a smaller size. ie 6x9 holes with a 4 inch mounted on a masonite panel to on side. That allows the rest of the factory cut hole to act as a passthrough. You also have not had to modify the structure of your rear deck and you also keep the rear speakers. This is the easiest DIY way to accomplish the passthrough design.
