I use solder flux, then crimp it so it's barely snug with a vice, then use a chesel on the seam, makes it look quite professional and holds. Then I use my pocket torch and solder it , Solid connection that won't come loose.

i use Pliers crimp as tight as possible, then i use a propane torch (not the crappy butane ones)
and as much silver solder as it wants to suck up, typically about 2 feet of 1.5mm solder.
