Hey,
I have a problem and I think it may be I got a bad amp from Lanzar(I know I took a chance). Well, I have a Lanzar Vibe1200D amp hooked up to 2 DD 3510's in a ported box wired to 1ohm. My power wire is 4ga and so is my ground. I hooked everything up about 3 weeks ago and was working fine. Then, I went over to my friends house and everything seemed to be working, then leave his house, and when I get into the car and start it up, my amp and my subs won't turn on. So, I drive home and start looking for the problem. I check the engine bay and see that my 60 amp fuse has blown. Well, I go and grab 2 more 60's and put the first one in. I get in my car and start it up and turn around to look at my amp. I look at the lights at the side of the amp and they come on but then stayed on for about 2 seconds and then my fuse blows and the lights on the amp go off. So, I check my connections and my power wire and nothing seems to be touching or stripped or anything. When I turn the car on, I get no respnse from my subs what-so-ever. It seems that my amp is trying to charge up, but then never does. (I think this because before when I turned my car on, my subs never came right on, it took about a second for them to get any juice from the amp) So, is my amp faulty and do I have to send it back to Lanzar to get it fixed, or does anyone think that there is anything I can do again before I send it off?
Thanks for all your help,
Jimmy

I don't think it's your amp. Try re-wiring your subs to a 4ohm load. You probably have positive and negative wires connected together somewhere. This causes the fuse to blow. Check your sub connections.

How is it my fuse when it was working for 3 weeks before now? Usually a fuse blows when you turn your stereo UP, not ON.

I had this problem with an install I did. It worked fine for a couple of weeks and then the amp just started going into protection mode all the time (just like blowing fuses). I pulled the ground connection off of the chassis and sanded the chassis for about 3 minutes and hooked it back up and it has been working ever since.
