I've had us acoustics 2200 amp which is 2x200 rms and use to power diamond audio S600 with it. I didn't have a sub amp I wanted to keep things simple and run the components and the sub with a 4 channel so I bought fosgate 800.4 which is 100x4. The problem is, the 100 watts each side for my component sounds NOWHERE near my 200 watts us acoustics. Even though it's only 3db I could totally tell huge difference and my diamonds seem to play better with 200 watts. So I was wondering if I bridge the damn amp and give it 400 watts rms each side, my speaker will sound even better? Is this ok? I'll keep the gains down all the way. I'm going to keep the passive crossovers. I'm not going to bi-amp the components. Such a hassle. 400 watts ok or is it too much?

It would still be in stereo, just like a 2-channel amp. Seen as how you have the amp you may as well try it, just start with the gains and volume down low at first and turn it up and see how it sounds. With speaker (as opposed to subs) you will probably be able to hear when they are receiving too much power and just be able to turn them down.
You are more likely to damage them by trying to crank them without enough power and producing distortion than by putting too much clean power throught them.
You will also be able to see if bridging makes the signal any worse. If you can't hear the differnce then its not worth worring about.
