It's going in a jeep grand cherokee w/factory radio. You just splice the wires into one of the speaker wires right. And where do you hook the remote to?

Yes, just slice into the speaker wires.
For the remote, just find a 12V source that will turn on when your HU is on. Normally the lead wire is blue.

The wiring is pretty straightforward, just remember to use either the front or rear pair of speaker wires, and be careful not to reverse the phasing during hookup. Most of the factory Jeep systems have an amplifier turn-on lead on the radio, but it might not be in the harness. It is normally located in the plug that carries the majority of the speaker wires, and is the last pin, the #7 position if I remember correctly.
