Curious to gather info on screwing down our two 9515 dd's. We use 1.5" mdf but have experienced falure in the screws in the way of breakage. Any info would be cool.

What kind of screws do you use. Unless they are really cheap screws I find it hard to believe that they would break. But they could break if they are not all tightened down the same amount. If there are big differences in the tightness of the screws then the one that is the tightest will usually break first. I always secure my speakers doen with socket cap screws with a tee nut on the opposite side of the MDF. By doing it like this I could not imagine any of the screws breaking.

i agree with the tee nut, you can pick them up at any hardware store in all different sizes. make sure you get the ones for wood. basically looks like a washer with spikes sticking out of one end which you put into the wood. used them for an sq install on a toyota a little over 10 years ago and the subs still tight as when first installed
