I have some old Rockford amps with X-Card crossover. Those are not in use because i use Alpine PRA H400`s to do the crossovering.
But i wonder if i should make some 20-30hz cards and use them as Subsonic filters.
This because i belive booth the subs and the amps would benefit from this, since they would get rid of the stress with trying to produce unheard tunes.

What do you think?
What frekvenzy should i use to get the best balance betwin sound and stress release.
Opinions would be great

Yes you should use the -xcards for sub-sonic filtering. It is also possible to manipulate the Q of the x-card to increase the output at the crossover frequency.

The aligment of a crossover is basically a numerical representative of what it does at the crossover frequency.

Certain aligments have a "boost" right around the crossover frequency, but right below the boost they roll off quickly.

Other aligments have a natural roll off with no boost.

Information about this might be available in rockfords archives on their site. I know I certainly don't remember the resistor values for this of the top o' me 'ed.
