Anything special i need to know about installing in this vehicle? Is it required that I relocate the factory deck, or not?
Thanks

nothing more than any other GM vehicle just be careful and take panels and the HU out slooowly. Always check for hidden screw. If you have a question pick up a Haynes guide the shop all the parts in a car

I HAVE A 2000 GTP. DID YOUR GTP COME WITH THE BOSE SOUND SYSTEM? IF IT DID YOU WILL HAVE TO CHANGE OUT THE HEAD UNIT CAUSE IT RUNS AT A 1OHM LOAD. YOU CAN LEAVE THE BOSE SPEAKERS AND AMP IN PLACE THEY WILL WORK FINE. I INSTALLED A ALPINE 852 1.5 DIN HEAD UNIT. YOU WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE THE WIRING HARNESS FOR THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS IF YOU STILL WANT TO USE THEM. ANOTHER SITE YOU MAY CHECK OUT IS WWW.CLUBGP.COM OR WWW.GRANDPRIXSTORE.COM

Can you tell me more info? Mine does have the Bose system, do I just pop out the stock and throw in mine, or will it take more than that, and.. where can i get the harness to integrate the steering wheel controls from?

if you are just adding a head unit, you can get a bose interface adapter and run it off the head into the bose - from here out blows

the brand i use is peripheral and i have not had any issues. they have 2 types

1. run rca's into it and through an aftermarket harness adapter into the blows system

2. run high level signal into the adapter a low level that is capable of common ground out into the aftermarket harness.

remote 1 by soundgate and if you have the onstar system in yours a starmod 2

if you are doing speakers (mids and highs) that's common sense. replace the blows with aftermarket and run wire to them off the head or an amp.
