I am doing my system over for the first time I want to do it on my own just to feel a little better about it but I got to the box and dont know a few things about it.

1 If I build the box 15" high X 36" wide X 20" deep and make 2 seperate chambers what will the cubic feet be or how do I figure this out.

2 what size ports should I use and what should they be tuned to for 2 L7 12s I want to have square ports just like the look a little more.

I really need to know this stuff to get going on the install all help will be apprciated thanks JD

i am not sure what the recommended box size is for those subs but to work out box size you just: 15 X 36 X 20 then minus the volume of the divider and then divide by 1728 to get it in cubic feet.

go to linearteam.org and download winisd. all u have to do then is put in the box volume and the frequency you want and it will work out your port length for you.

hope i helped.

Assuming 15" high X 36" wide X 20" deep external dimensions with the divider displacement counted in, you have a total of 4.9 cu ft of internal space. That's using 3/4" material. So 2.44 for each sub, minus sub and port displacement.

A ballpark tuning of 35 Hz. 20 sq in of port( 5" * 4" slot), you'll need a port 17 in long for each chamber.
