Ya know, I use to install at my father's store, and I found that the best way to save time when doing multiple installs in a day is to pick up the tools and materials as soon as you are done using them. Used to be, I would leave them out, becasue I new I had another install to do right after.....then wouldn't you know, I couldn't find the tool I needed when I needed it. Frustrating. So, the only advise I have is to put the tools and materials away after each install. That way you know where they are, and everyone else does too.

This not only works in the shop/garage. It applies nearly everywhere. I guess it is my feminine side telling me "housework". If you put something away right after you use it you can always find it the next time you want it.

Also another possible time and money saver. Measure twice and cut once...or heck screw once or glue or what ever. Cause once it is cut there isnt any going back and with some of that glue when its together forget getting it apart in one piece...

When it comes to wireing, i always measure twice, add on about 6" extra, cut once, and then install and cut again. I have found this to be the easiest way to wire. I always wind up to short, but now i never wind up short.

What I always did, when hooking up an amp, was to take the role of wire and prop it up high in front of the vehicle. Then run it through the vehicle and then cut. It saved time and money in wasted wire.

That probably is the best way to do it. But for those of us that dont have access to a spool of 8 or heavier gauge wire, we have to measure it.... hehe.
