I just bought one and want to put a nice system in it but I was wondering if anyone out there knows where I can get my hands on any info of how to take my door pannels and pasltics faces off etc... I have had enough of trying to learn as I go and have broken enough of the cheap plastic parts that keep these cars together. Any info would be great. Thanks, Daryl.

Alright! another subie owner. Kind of OT: You'll do yourself a favor by going to www.impreza-rs.com and joining the I-Club.
There is soooo much valuable info there on everything Subaru. Tuning, Upgrades, Fixes, Meets, Maintenance, Classifieds and Group Buys(aka "GB"). Usually none of the silly sh!t that goes on on Honduh msg boards.
Usually you can even get a helping hand if you get really stuck or if you want to install something.

Ask in their audio forum about taking the door panels off your WRX.

Best Regards,

Phy6 (on TermPro and The I-Club) www.phy6.net

the i-club is an excellent resource for imprezas. Here's a good install link for doing your rear speakers:
http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=130192

some of the people on there can pretty much build a rally car from scratch.

Nice car! I test drove one and found it to be a great car! and I used to drive a BMW!

The only problems I have with it is the lack of cargo space(same goes for the 3 series, IS 300, etc.) By the time you put stereo equipment in back you have very little room.

The only other problem I have is with the accessory catolog. THERE IS JUST TOO MUCH STUFF TO CHOOSE! (I guess that is a good thing BUT, bad for the wallet.)
I added up all of the stuff that I would want, as well as some aftermarket 17" wheels and some of the overseas performance parts and the cost of the car jumps up into the $30k+ range. DAMN!
There is just so much that a tweeker could do to this car!

Nevertheless, there is nothing else on the market that can touch it....Unless, we get into looks and style...but now that I think about it...the only time one will see the car is when it is standing still....The car is just a blur on the road...

Check out OCT 2001 Car Audio and Electronics magazine. There if a feature on a 2000 2.5 Impreza. The car is set up for full off road driving. It has a full cage and most of the large stereo pieces are bolted to the cage. SWEET!
