I got my pioneer h/u hooked all up , but not installed, the only problem is that when i turn on the lights the cd player turns off. The ill wire is not hooked up because I can't find the right wire to hook it to.

Could that be it?

I thought i might have hooked the acc wire to the ill wire but i don't i did. I checked. any ideas?
thanks

More than likely you have the ground input for your deck hooked up to an illumination wire, remove it and fasten it to the vehicle chassis and try it again.

If all is well, then you can use the wire you were using as a ground for your illumination input to your deck.

That sounds like the answer I would have given. If not send me an email and I will pull your car up on the puter and send you a copy of what wire does what in your car.
