I was working on the car and came up with an idea around 3am last night. Before hand lets just add that I was thinking about the orkin man's bill for spraying our house (we found termites). He came out and drilled holes ALL over the house and injected foam into the walls to kill the termites.
Back to the good news; I was working on the struts and supports for my roof buildups, I got those done and placed the first sheet of mdf on the roof to use more as a mounting board then anything. I took a break and went and bought a six pack, came back and set it on the roof. PLOOP the roof popped in (it is a very cheap made car.) The orkin man flys into my head and I drill holes in the mdf, use spray foam and inject it in the holes between the board and the roof. 3 hrs later no noise from the roof. Place tape over the holes to keep the stuff from coming back out.
I bet someone has done this, but it was new to me. Thought I might post it. I'll post it in the fab section also, but most of my buidup questions are better answered here. I usually don't even get replys in the fab section.

Yep, did this with my car. Made a huge differnce. The car still rattles a little but I'm not totally done. Doesn't sound all that impressive until you get in and hear how loud it is inside. Then people are impressed.

I know the expanding foam has been done before....that is why I already had it bought. The whole drilling of holes and spraying it in hard to reach places I hadn't heard of. Thought it could help someone out.
