Hey Everybody,

I was wondering does anybody know roughly how many sq. feet the back of a 1986 Honda Civic Hatchback is? The reson why i am asking is because i want to purchase some hi-temp mastic for my car,but i don't know how many sheets to purchase. Iam going to be competing in ss1-2nw next season probably adn am getting my car ready now. Would let's say 6 sheets of the hi-temp mastic(72 sq.ft.) be suffient if i want to double or even do triple layers in the hatch only. This does not include my roof because i am using a gallon of V-Blok vb-1 up there and probably on my doors to. Do you all think that this will be suffect? Thanks

I own an 86 Civic as well

I am just getting into the install and picked up a 70sqft roll of BrownBread deadening for it. I expect to do the whole car.

How much of the back do you consider the back of the car? The area behind the seat is tiny..

Hey Dukk,

i didn't know you had one,i consider th eback every where behind the front seats and not the auctual cabin (front seats. Do you think that it would make much of a diffence if i didn't do this part or not i just want the back isolated real good. Also what kind of setup are you going to run , i am ethier doing two Shocker 2 15's in probably abou t 3.5 cuft. boxes ported or one extrmeme in a 6 ot 7 cu.ft ported box for the two shocker setup i will probably runn two MTX 1000D'S,and for th eextreme i will probably run a mtx 1000d to each coil

If you are doing a wall I would not even do behind the door jambs (well for dBDrag SS class anyway) since you can reinforce it any way you want behind the jambs but are limited to what you can do in front of them.

I am doing a wall. Original plan was for 48 10s but I am having trouble rounding up that kind of support New plan is for 6 15s, vented. Total power will depend on the company I hook up with.
I had a brief deal with one company that was for a pair of quad coil 18s and around 10000 watts total but got screwed by the Canadian distributor... Oh well, NEXT!
