I just got my hands on a bunch of vinyl. It's the kind they use in hospitals...very heavy, like ¼" thick, and flexable. Has any one tried this as a sound deadner?

Any ideas?

doesn't sound like fun to work with.....and as far as sound deadening, I think all you'd be doing it making the car heavier if anything.

Yeah, it will work, a heat gun should help to form the pieces to your panels.

You'd be better off buying a few cans of sound deadening /undercoat spray from Auto Zone, it'll weigh much less and be more effective. Unless of course you don't mind the added weight.

yep, I am going to get the car sprayed with rino liner (truck bed liner) when I am done to seal it all up. Then, carpet..
