I've seen several cars that came in for major systems, and many didn't have factory A/C included in the options. Guess what can be done with the extra unused pulley at the cranckshaft?? How about a separate alternator, to a separate battery, and you have an independant power source for the stereo? Some isolation circuit may have to be included to allow both alternators to use the same ground I imagine, unless it's not necessary.

Actually, the bug I'm building for a dBdragger had factory A/C, and has the extra pulley on the crank, and I am using it for exactly this purpose!

If it dont fit, force it... if it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway...

Well I was going to just that on my Camaro...before the freaking think caught fire..
Well I had done a little resarch on this. I was told sure it can be done but there could be ground loop problems along with some other stuff. Take a look in the old posts I mean like months old on the SQ part of this forum and it should be there.
