The car will remote start but when you get in and hit the brake it shuts down (RIGHT) but it should stay running after you hit the brake ?

is the car a push-button start? All the 07 ES350's we have put R/S in have been pushbutton.

A remote start should shut off if the vehicle is not in the ignition-on position.

I installed a remote start on a mits. lancer once. It was supposed to shut off if you hit the brakes. It also shuts off after 15mins of run time.(all with igniton off) But would run if you put key in and turn to the on postion. But that was some time ago.

that's how they are supposed to work

unless the ignition is turned to the ON position and THEN brake tapped, the vehicle will shut down when the timer runs out. It will also shut down if the brake is pressed before the ignition is on.
